The Clash
London is calling every year. Even now in 2023, eons away from the punk scene when The Clash were protagonists, the British capital calls upon the sensibilities of artists from all over the world to tell their personal vision. Ranaletta, as she herself tells us, is one of these artists: "I often go to London, I like to visit it for the variety of its urban and sociological fabric, a city poised between the ancient glories of an infinite empire and the contemporary.
This western metropolis characterized by the contrasts of an all-English melting pot stimulates my imagination, offers me the privilege of capturing memorable images where clothes and hairstyles from all over the world blend together giving rise to an original style. The images produced are the result of my metropolitan walkabouts, aimless wanderings, a conjugated wandering in both meanings of the verb: wandering aimlessly and making mistakes."
Taking the wrong path, losing the way back, she finds it again through new images. After all, Ranaletta's shots tell of a wrong, unexpected and surprising London: a triumph of colors, the vivid of reds, the neon yellows and above all the great smoky gray! The goal is certainly to break that gray and cold imagery to which London is often relegated, an unfair stereotyped imagery that does not take into account the wonder of colors and blazing lights at the ends of the day. London is an infinitely lively and vital city where you never get tired of walking, looking, being amazed.

The Clash
Londra chiama. Ogni anno ancora adesso nel 2023, ad eoni di distanza dalla scena punk di cui furono protagonisti I Clash, la capitale britannica chiama a se le sensibilità degli artisti di tutto il mondo perchè ne raccontino la loro personale visione. Ranaletta, come ci racconta lei stessa, è una di questi artisti: “Vado spesso a Londra, mi piace frequentarla per la varietà del suo tessuto urbanistico e sociologico, una città in bilico tra gli antichi fasti di un impero infinito e la contemporaneità.
Questa metropoli occidentale caratterizzata dai contrasti di un melting pot tutto inglese stimola la mia fantasia, mi offre il privilegio di catturare immagini memorabili dove gli abiti e le acconciature di tutto il mondo si fondono dando origine ad uno stile originale. Le immagini prodotte sono il frutto dei miei walkabouts metropolitani, peregrinazioni senza meta, un errare coniugato in entrambi i significati del verbo: vagare senza meta e sbagliare”.
Sbagliare strada, perdere la strada per tornare e ritrovarla attraverso nuove immagini. Gli scatti di Ranaletta infondo raccontano proprio una Londra sbagliata, inaspettata e sorprendente: un trionfo di colori, il vivido dei rossi, il neon dei gialli e su tutto il grande assente, il grigio fumo! L’obiettivo è certamente rompere l’immaginario grigio e freddo in cui Londra è spesso relegata, un immaginario ingiusto stereotipato che non tiene presente la meraviglia dei colori e le luci radenti delle estremità del giorno. Londra è una città infinitamente viva e vitale dove non ci si stanca mai di camminare, guardare, stupirsi!
